So yeah, I’m a girl with no guts at all, but I’m also the kind of girl who will feel along her jawbone while opening and shutting her mouth to feel it move. Or I’ll look at my pupils carefully in the mirror and then slowly rock my head back and forth to watch my eyeballs move. I’ve felt myself over carefully and I know how far back my teeth go, where my nose turns to bone, how my fingers move in their sockets, how far back my arm moves without hurting, how to pop my big toe, what stretches what, and so on. Don’t get the wrong idea, I don’t like biology, but I do greatly feel just what a marvelous thing it was when God made men. Made them! And he had no model body to work on, no instructions to follow, and gosh! I find it hard enough to knit a sweater!
I also like logic and I like patterns. When you knit, you stick the working needle through the other, wrap yarn around the working needle, pull the needle out with the yarn, and slip the used stitch off the lazy needle, and upon continuation, a blanket is made. In an ecosystem you have photosynthesis, the plants and organisms turn carbon dioxide into oxygen that we and other creatures turn into cardon dioxide, and we trade back and forth, and the world keeps on turning. While walking, you balance on one foot while moving the other forward, then placing your weight on that foot move the other one forward, and you walk. In your blood flow, blood is pumped out through your arteries and comes back through your veins, it all circulates and your heart keeps pumping. You breathe in, you breathe out, you burn oxygen, and you keep living. See! It’s just cool, that’s all.
To me everything just sort of chants out a rhythm and the world spins and the stars fly and time whirls and God stays in control. Too cool. That’s why I read a Psalm like Psalm 19 and am overjoyed. Yeah, you know that one. The beginning goes–
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour out speech; night after night they display knowledge.
There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out to all the earth, their words to the ends of the earth…
And then I watched this video awhile back by Louie Giglio who seems just as excited about it as he gets a whole pattern and beat going. If there’s anything I like better than patterns, it’s music, by far. This so blew me up…and I fell in love with whales immediately. 😀
Sorry about that rambling.
